 学会機関誌『アメリカ研究』(年報)は 2025年3月に第59号を刊行する予定です。会員諸氏の積極的な投稿をお待ちしております。

1. 内   容  アメリカ研究に関する未発表論文。前年度『アメリカ研究』もしくは『英文ジャーナル』に論文が掲載された方は,本年度の投稿をご遠慮ください。また,同じ年度に,あるいは年度をまたいで『アメリカ研究』と『英文ジャーナル』の双方に投稿することはできません。これはなるべく多くの会員に発表の機会を提供するためです。

2. 枚   数  論文は 33 字×34 行のレイアウトで 19ページ以内(註を含む)。
執筆要項は学会ホームページを参照のこと。

3. 原稿締め切り 2024 年 8月31日(土)

4. 提    出 投稿希望者は 2024 年 6 月末日までに,学会ホームページの「お問い合わせ・応募」フォームより年報編集委員会宛に「論文題目」をお送りください。論文原稿は電子ファイルによる提出となります。

『アメリカ研究』第59号「特集論文」募集のお知らせ

 『アメリカ研究』第59号の特集テーマは,「アメリカとアジア2.0」です。趣意は以下の通りです。

 第 30 号(1996年)で「アメリカとアジア」を特集して以降、アメリカもアジアも、そしてその関係も大きく変化してきた。2000 年代以降の中国の台頭はめざましく、とりわけ2012 年秋に習近平政権が登場すると、南シナ海における実力による現状変更の動きを強め、一帯一路構想、アジアインフラ投資銀行を設立するなど現行国際秩序に挑戦するかのような様相を呈している。オバマ政権はアメリカを「太平洋国家」と位置づけ、東アジア、特に東南アジア諸国における多国間対話へのコミットメントを高めた。そして、中国に対しては自国の地位に全面的に挑戦する中国という認識が定着し、米中の競争関係は激化した。中国の要求は現行国際秩序の破壊ではなく、その枠内での修正であると見られているが、それは西側の既得権益、とりわけ米国のそれを損なう側面を持つ。

 文学・文化の領域において、これまで多くのアジア系アメリカ作家や芸術家が論じられてきたが、中国の台頭が進む現代、アジアとアメリカの文化的力学には以前と異なる点もあるだろう。中国以外でも、たとえばインドやインドネシアなどの、いわゆるグローバルサウスと呼ばれるアジア地域の台頭は、アジア系アメリカ文学・文化の表象に何らかの変化をもたらしているのかもしれない。また、アジアとアメリカについて考える際、アメリカと敵対/同盟する国家間の関係性だけでなく、日本でいえば、沖縄、広島、長崎のように、政治に翻弄されてきた地域の歴史や文化を改めて見直すことも必要であろう。アジアでは不可視な存在をアメリカとの関係を介して可視化すること、あるいは忘却の彼方に葬り去られた出来事やテキストを改めて堀り起こす作業は、ともすれば過去が軽視される新自由主義の時代において、重要な営みのように思える。

 米国内ではブラック・ライブズ・マターが注目を浴びる一方、パンデミック下でのアジア系への差別が顕在化している。米国社会のマイノリティであると同時にセトラーでもあるアジア系の立ち位置はアファーマティブ・アクションにおいても独特なものとなっている。そこで次号の特集テーマを「アメリカとアジア 2.0」とし、上記のように更新されたアメリカとアジアの関係を意識した論考を募集する。経済、歴史、法律、政治外交、文化、文学などの幅広い分野からの積極的な投稿を期待したい。

  「特集論文」に応募希望の会員は,2024 年 6 月末日までに,氏名・所属・論文題目および構想・資料などの説明(400字程度)を学会ホームページの「お問い合わせ・応募」フォームより年報編集委員会宛にお申し込み下さい。その際、上記フォームの「お問い合わせ内容」欄に「『アメリカ研究』特集応募」と明記してください。
 執筆要項は学会ウェブサイトを参照のこと。
原稿締め切りは 2024年8月31日(土)とします。
