The Japanese Journal of American Studies - Call for Papers
JAAS members are invited to submit proposals for papers to be included in the 30th issue (June 2019) of the Japanese Journal of American Studies. Papers on any topic within the field of American Studies, including those related to this issue's special topic, "Democracy," are welcome.
As always, we welcome papers that shed light on aspects of American ways of life, society, history, literature, politics, economics, law, art and architecture, etc. For the coming issue, we would also like to see papers dealing with aspects of democracy in American literature, history, society, culture, and politics, etc.
Proposals, consisting of a title and abstract (approximately 300 words), are due by January 5, 2018, and should be sent to the JJAS Editorial Committee via email at firstname.lastname@example.org as attached electronic files. Completed manuscripts will be due May 10, 2018 (maximum 8000 words, including notes) and should also be sent to the above email address. Papers must be written in English, based on original research, and previously unpublished. Authors may submit only one proposal per issue.
