３． 日本に在住し、OAH大会開催時に日本からの旅費を要すること

ANNOUNCEMENT

U. S. Embassy Travel Scholarships for Graduate Students

New travel scholarships have been established through a special endowment from the U.S. Embassy. One or two graduate students studying in Japan will be sent to the annual meeting of the Organization of American Historians (OAH).

Call for applications for the scholarship to attend the OAH Meeting.

Place: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Amount of scholarship: $1,500
Qualifications:
1. Membership in JAAS
2. Status as a full-time graduate student at a Japanese university
3. Residence in Japan

1. Curriculum vitae
2. List of published papers, if any
3. Past attendance record for ASA and/or OAH, if any
4. Statement of your interest in American Studies and the research plan for your dissertation (500-600 words in English)
5. If you are to read a paper at this OAH meeting, please indicate the title and provide a brief outline.
